Worth the Wait A Burn with me Novella edition by Rachael Tonks Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
She did it again! Rachael Tonks knows her way around a plot that makes the reader completely enthralled with the story! Even with a short story, she grabbed exactly what it was needed for us to comprehend the characters and gave us their story without leaving anything behind unanswered.
She's becoming one of my favorite authors!
Worth The Wait is Josh's story. If you read Burn With Me, you will remember him, as Caleb best friend.
This is a insta-everything. Be warned.
Josh is that kind of guy that has every woman he wants. There's no working hard in that. But he wants more... he's tired of this kind of life.
When he meets Quinn he knows she's the one missing piece in his life. Quinn comes with a broken life and a lot of problems, but that isn't enough for Josh to give up.
He will work hard for her love but it will be worth!
* Read and Reviewed for The Bookery Review *
Josh is looking for the one woman that can make his heart beat and his dick hard, the kind of woman he can see his forever being with but finding that kind of woman is looking to be hard for him until he spots a woman at a bar, a woman he instantly connects with and can't keep his eyes off of.
Quinn is a broken woman who just wants to make something of her life for her and her baby sister. After suffering from horrific abuse from her step father she vows to never let her baby sister be harmed like that so she'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even auditioning for a pole dancing gig where she meets the guy that's about to turn her world upside down.
When the two end up in the back room they begin talking and getting to know each other but Quinn can't help but push people away. Will she push Josh away forever or will Josh push back and get the girl he loves?
This book didn't capture my attention like I hoped it would but it was a good read, I loved Josh and Quinn, I love that they found happiness in each other. I love the way they act with Olivia, it's so freaking cute.
The storyline was good but I was so hoping Josh would have manhandled the stepdad a little more after what he did to Quinn, that would have been perfect.
Another short and great read from the lovely Rachael Tonks.
Another brilliant read by Rachael Tonks
Worth the wait was soooo worth the wait.
A hot passionate insta-love story leading to the kind of hea that makes you gush with all those pleasant fuzzy warm feelings.
Josh....I loved him, a swoon worthy hot guy who has a successful property/development business and everything going for him except love. Josh is the type of guy who just can't find The One, he's lonely and at a point in his life where he wants to settle down but even though he could probably have any woman he wants, if only he could find her.
You know what they say? good things come when you least expect them.
Quinn and Josh first meet at a strip club, Josh begrudgingly meeting friends there and Quinn is on her first night in her new job as a bar maid.
Quinn catches Josh's attention when he overhears her arguing with her boss over the lack of clothing he expects her to wear.
Josh comes to Quinne's rescue which seems to be a repetitive theme throughout although Quinn sees her self as an unworthy recipient.
It's 's love at first sight for Josh who is determined to make Quinn his and help Quinn break down the barriers and her feelings of unworthyness.
I liked Quinn, a strong character, training to be a teacher with no job,no home but despite finding herself at rock bottom she carries on fighting her way up. Josh comes into her life turning her nightmare into a fairy-tale.
A story about finding Your person, moving forward, seeing self worth, new beginnings and true love sprinkled with fan me down hotness.
Worth the wait gives all the feels in all the right places, a page turner and a super hot quick read told in dual pov's.
Recommended novella that can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend the series also by Rachael Tonks.
Arc gratefully received for review purposes
mediocre plot!
